Exercise Your Brain Muscle with Physics Games

Exercise Your Brain Muscle with Physics Games In the mood for some online fun, but you’re not too drawn to sports games or all kinds of shooting, war-simulation games? Are you looking for a more active type of online gaming fun, a more mind-stimulating one? Well, my friend, then online physics games definitely make the best choice for you: they bring the fun factor, they provide you the right work-out session for your brain that you’re looking for and they’ll surprise you with their huge diversity, too. Once you respond to the first mind-challenge, you’ll want more and more of this new type of brain-testing online fun suitable for Einstein freaks like you!

I have to confess I, too, might as well join the physics games online-addicts group! I wouldn’t dare declaring myself one of the “experts” in this field, but I sure have accumulated lots of hours spent trying to solve those mind-challenging puzzles. As a “connoisseur”, I’ve decided to come up with a short classification of the most popular types of them so that you should know in advance what to expect once you go online determined to work-out your brain muscle and to pick the types of physics games that best suit your preferences!

Balance Physics Games

I think that the title that I have come up with for this category is more than suggestive: it’s on your balancing skills that you need to rely on when playing this type of online physics games! Most of the times the items that you need to strategically place, one on top of the other, are simple geometric forms. The simpler the graphics the more challenging the game-play, though! If, within the first levels the balancing tasks to carry out are almost embarrassingly easy, don’t let this aspect put you off! As you advance and start new and new levels, you’ll see that placing those squares, those triangles and rectangles, in the given sequence, so that they remain well balanced, will challenge your strategy skills big time! Just a few millimeters could make the difference and might cause the total collapse of your on-screen geometrical figures construction!

Physics Platform Games

Put together those Mario games’ old school “flavor” and some tricky, mind-stimulating puzzles to solve and you’ll figure out yourself what physics platform games are all about! The most representative games that fall into this category and which come into my mind right now are Home Sheep Home and Snail Bob! Basically, what you have to do is help some on-screen characters, mostly animals, get from point A to point B, walking along several platforms covered will all sorts of obstacles (electric charged zones, precipices/gaps in between two platforms, spiky traps etc.). On your screen you have all kinds of helpful devices, all sorts of items that you can interact with and which would help your “teammate” safely avoid those obstacles, but, of course, you need to use your brain for spotting those key items (buttons that you could press, ropes that you could pull, logs that you could click on and turn into some improvised bridges and so on). If these games come up “wrapped” in some eye-catchy cartoon-like/cute graphics and with some funny stories, too, then the overdose of mind-stimulating fun is guaranteed!

Physics Based Shooting Games

We could call this type of physics games: “shooting games with a twist”. It’s not just mere shooting, a mere launch of balls just for the fun of it, but you’re being challenged to really think those balls launches through, to very precisely aim your “target” so that the effect should be as close as possible to “complete elimination”. Don’t think that you’ll be wearing a cool sniper outfit and go after some bad guys, for in most of the cases you’ll be aiming at a simple clutch of balls, the main idea being that you vanish them all off your screen. The game that I’m thinking about right now is Blosics, a highly addictive shooting game with a twist of physics added to it, too, where your goal is to destroy several compact structures made of several tiny blocks by shooting balls at them.
